360 panoramas.
Hooker Lake.
One of the most dramatic vistas in the world, and even better at night.

In this 360 panorama, the Milky Way core is descending into Mt Sefton — one of New Zealand's highest peaks. To the right of the Milky Way at the end of the lake is Mt Cook, the highest mountain in the country at 3,724 meters (12,218 ft). That height doesn't sound too crazy, but considering this vista is nearly 3,000 below the summit, the mountain rises nearly as high above you as Mt Everest does above its basecamp.

Arches National Park.
This was the best night of astrophotography i had in the US in 2023. Under the dark skies of Arches National Park, the Milky Way was easily visible to the naked eye — and showed up even better on camera.

This archway is a view unique to the northern hemisphere, with Cassiopeia and Cygnus making up the northern end of the arch, with the more familiar Milky Way core region to the south.
